Cherokee Bear Zoo welcomes you to
the Great Smoky Mountains, home and natural habitat for the Black
Bear. Although it is rare to see them in the wild, we offer a first
hand observation of these beautiful creatures. Feed them and watch
them do tricks for you. Also you will observe many other wild animals,
that are native our area, such as Raccoons, Ground Hogs, and maybe
even a Deer or two.
Your visit will even include
many different exotic animals like Tigers and Monkeys. Along with our
native Black Bears, we also have Grizzlies, and during certain times
of the year, baby wild animals to entertain you.
We
personally name each of our animals and they love for you to talk to
them. All our animals are well cared for and most of them were born
here at the Cherokee Zoo, so they are all very special to us.
Children will have an
experience they will treasure for a lifetime. Visit our Petting Zoo so
you
and your child can actually hand feed our animals. We almost always
have baby goats. Located in Cherokee, North Carolina, we offer an
unforgettable experience for every animal lover.
 After
you have visited the Zoo, don't forget to visit the Gift Shop for wild
gifts at tame prices, refresh yourself & kids in our Ice Cream Shop,
and even enjoy a family fun game of 18 Hole Mini Golf.
